Lauren Nicely, a recent graduate of Trinity University in Washington, D.C. Lauren is now a full-time makeup artist.

Lauren’s journey as an artist began in 2008 when her prom makeup artist failed to appear. Wanting to prevent this from happening to another young girl, she began perfecting her craft. While she started small, eventually, through client referral, professional relationships and the help of social media, she built her reputation. Lauren has developed a strong following on Instagram of 73,000+ followers. Her passionate followers from all over the world are always eager to see her makeup transformations or share her favorite beauty tips and products. She has been featured several times at essence.com, the online version of the Essence Magazine, for her makeover magic.

Lauren is a Maryland based self-taught makeup artist who loves to express her creativity and ideas through makeup artistry. Lauren is known for her clean, fresh, precise makeup application and astonishing bridal makeovers. She has a passion for serving her local community with her talents but also travels the United States sharing her knowledge with others. In 2014 Lauren ventured out teaching her makeup classes in DC, SC, MD, NY, FL, and the US Virgin Islands. Lauren has had the privilege of working with Milani Cosmetics as lead makeup artist for the 2014 Ubiquitous Trade Show, Miss Black Maryland USA DeJanee Fennell, and hair and culture blogger extraordinaire Patrice Grell Yursik known as Afrobella.
